How reviews are made

Every review on ZTrun is made the same way. This page says how, and what a review is not.

1. We read the brand’s own website

The home page, the shipping and returns policies, the about page, the questions page and the public product list, as a shopper in the brand’s home country sees them. Each review lists the pages that were read and the day.

2. Several AI models write

One model writes the review. Others add a short take of their own on what the brand does well. Every model is given only the text of those pages, and every model is named beside what it wrote.

3. Software checks every figure

A price, a percentage or a number of days stays in a review only if it stands in the pages that were read, as the same kind of figure. Quotes are matched word for word. A draft that fails is thrown away and written again.

4. Products and videos are the brand’s own

Product names, prices and pictures come from the brand’s shop on the day shown, and each links to its page there. Videos are the brand’s own. Where a brand has none, we put together a short reel from its product pictures and say so under it.

What a review is not

We do not buy or test the products, and no model has seen or used them. So there are no scores and no test verdicts. A review sets out what a brand offers and does well, from what the brand itself publishes. For anything that matters to your order, the brand’s own page is the one that counts.

How a discount code is verified

“Verified” beside a code means one thing: on the day and at the time shown, the shop’s own cart took money off with that code. ZTrun’s checker puts products in the shop’s cart and enters the code, as a shopper’s browser does. Nothing is ordered, so no code is used up.

A code that is up is tried again every three hours. The mark never stands for longer than thirty hours after the last successful test, and a check that fails for a technical reason counts as neither a pass nor a refusal: the code keeps the time of its last real test.

Codes reach a page in one of four ways. A code a shop publishes for everyone on its own website is found there by the checker, which looks again each day at every shop that works with ZTrun and whose cart it can ask. The codes of a shop that does not work with us are not kept current, and its page shows none. A code a brand issues to its partners through the affiliate network Awin is taken from Awin’s own list of that brand’s offers. Both are shown only while they are verified, and come off at the test the shop’s cart refuses them. Once a brand works with us through Awin, its page shows only the codes that brand has issued to its partners or given to us, and none read from its website. A code a brand gave ZTrun readers is shown in full and named as that brand’s; without the mark, it has not been confirmed on the shop’s cart. For a shop that has not joined us through a network, the checker also tries codes that are public in several independent places, coupon listings among them. Such a code is tried only when at least two places list it, none of them marks it as a creator’s or a partner’s own, and it is the brand’s kind of code: the shop’s name or the word of a sale, not the name of a person. It is shown only while the shop’s own cart takes money off with it. We never use a code made for one person or one partner, and never guess one. Where a page says that no working code was found, it says the day the shop was looked at. Every code that is up is on one page.
