Good to know about Ignatius

Ignatius is the publishing activity of Guadalupe Associates, Inc., a non-profit religious corporation, and describes itself as an apostolate and a ministry. It was begun in June 1978 by Father Joseph Fessio, SJ, and Carolyn Lemon, to make the works of European Catholic theologians available to English-speaking readers. Its stated criteria of selection are fidelity to the apostolic and evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church, outstanding literary and artistic quality, and the ability to reach the widest possible readership and viewership, including academics, religious, priests, laity and children. It publishes liturgical and spiritual resources such as the Adoremus Hymnal, the Mass of Vatican II booklet and the Ignatius Pew Missal, and it runs a retreat house. Its catalogue includes the YOUCAT series for young people, created with an international group of youth and catechists and approved by Popes Benedict and Francis.
