Clipp prices

Clipp prices its certificates as a payment that is lower than the value redeemed at the merchant. A certificate for a 3-month supply of 5-in-1 hair loss treatment chews is listed at $49, against a regular price of $149, a saving of $100 or 67 percent. A sushi dinner certificate is $45 against $90, a day spa certificate is $69 against $140, and a paint night certificate is $22 against $55. Restaurant certificates on the page range from $7 for $20 worth of protein shakes and smoothies up to $25 for $50 worth of casual dining. The site states that deals are available at up to 70 percent off. Coupons are listed as free to clip.

Clipp shipping

Clipp delivers its certificates digitally rather than by post. Deal certificates are generated when a purchase is made and arrive by email confirmation, and they can also be accessed by logging into a Clipp account or the Clipp app at any time. A certificate can be pulled up on a mobile device, saved to a digital wallet such as Apple Wallet, or printed at home. The sources state no shipping cost and no free-shipping threshold.

Clipp returns

Clipp grants refunds within 14 days of purchase. A return request can be submitted through the site, and the full refunds policy is set out in the terms of service. If a business closes before an offer expires, Clipp refunds or credits the money. Once a certificate expires it loses its promotional value, but the amount paid for the deal is honored by the merchant for five years, and in some instances state law allows it to be honored for a longer period.

Discounts and offers at Clipp

Clipp states that new subscribers save an extra 25 percent on their first purchase. The site also lists loyalty discounts, price drops and other exclusive promotions for members. Signing up for Clipp.com is free: a buyer enters an email address and the city where they live. The home page also runs limited-time promotions, such as an extra 20 percent off select deals and an extra 30 percent off for joining the text club, and it advertises up to 70 percent off across its deals.

Good to know about Clipp

Clipp works with local merchants to provide discount certificates: the amount paid is the Payment, the amount redeemable at the merchant is the Value, and the difference is the Promotional Value. A certificate covers the deal value only, and anything beyond it, such as tax, tip or extra fees, is paid separately. Certificates cannot be combined with other coupons or promotions, but they can be used alongside site credit. Offers are available only in limited quantity, and an Almost Gone graphic appears as an offer approaches its limit. Clipp certificates and coupons can be stored in Apple Wallet and redeemed by showing a QR code, or redeemed with a paper certificate, the Clipp app, or a redemption number given to the merchant. Credit card information is transmitted through PCI-compliant merchant services and is not stored on Clipp’s servers. Apple Pay is available as a checkout payment method.
