Le Chameau sells handmade rubber boots for men, women and children, including tall wellington boots, short wellies, walking boots, zip wellington boots and Chelsea boots. Its named styles include the Vierzon with a jersey lining and adjustable strap, the Vierzonord with an insulating neoprene lining, the Chasseur with a full-length waterproof zip, the Saint Hubert as the original leather lined boot, the Giverny in multiple heights, and the Chelsea Vallon. The range covers jersey lined, neoprene lined and leather lined boots, with narrow and wide calf fittings. Accessories include boot bags, boot removers and shoe horns, wellington boot care products, gaiters and socks, and gift cards.

Le Chameau offers free standard delivery on all orders, with delivery within 5 working days, where working days are Monday to Friday and do not include holidays. Priority next day delivery costs £5 and applies to mainland UK orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Friday, excluding the Scottish Highlands. Delivery to Jersey, Guernsey and the Channel Islands costs £6.95 within 5 working days. For delivery outside the UK and the Channel Islands, Le Chameau operates dedicated websites for France, Germany, the rest of Europe and the USA.

Le Chameau returns

Le Chameau accepts returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. Items must be returned in pristine, unworn condition with all packaging and labels included and intact; boots worn outside are considered used and non-returnable. Returns are started through the brand’s returns portal partner, Swap Returns, and the order number beginning with LCH should be added. Le Chameau aims to process all returns within 7 working days. Parcels must not exceed 20KG, and returns cannot be processed for items purchased through stockists. Complimentary returns are not currently available from the Channel Islands.

Good to know about Le Chameau

Le Chameau states that every pair of its boots is handmade by a single master bootmaker, and that it takes nine months to train as a Maître bottier in its workshop. Its boots are handcrafted from Chamolux natural rubber, which the brand describes as supple, flexible and 100% waterproof, with each boot placed into a water bath during testing to prove its watertight quality. The Chasseur offers a choice of 13 calf sizes, while the Vierzon has an adjustable waterproof gusset. The brand offers a two-year warranty on every pair, and its history dates to 1927, when founder Claude Chamot began making natural rubber boots in Normandy.
